brook & black make work for both gallery and outside spaces. They have also undertaken participatory and socially engaged public art commissions and community projects. They work across various media: including traditional and digital printmaking, video, sculpture, sound and installation. Their work has often responded to architectural or historic locations.
brook & black have had research/exhibition-based residencies in both UK and international contemporary gallery and museum settings, including the World Heritage Site in Greenwich; the Wallace Collection, London; Crystal Palace Park, London; Modern Art Oxford; the Toulouse Lautrec Museum, France and the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. They have worked collaboratively with other artists and remain interested in the process of creative collaboration.
